Some Grammy viewers are upset that Natalie Cole did not receive an individual tribute during last night’s broadcast.

Celebrities React to Natalie Cole’s Death

“We were hoping that there will be some sort of actual tribute to her fitting of her artistry and stature. She had 21 Grammy nominations and nine wins. She was such a force in the music industry and she transcended genres. “Why wouldn’t you have a medley of two or three songs? There are many hits that could be sung and great artists who could perform them.”

“Here is a woman who has been in the business for four decades, had 21 GRAMMY nominations and won nine GRAMMYs. She deserves more than (to be a part of) a minute-and-a-half tribute,” Cole’s son Robert Adam Yancy told ET on Monday night. “It was shameless the way they minimized her legacy. We will find solace in her legacy as well as her endless fans around the world.”
