Somebody on Total Beauty’s Twitter account dropped the ball.
Sunday night, during the Oscars, the Los-Angeles based beauty website identifiedĀ a photo of Whoopi Goldberg as none other than Oprah Winfrey.
“We had no idea @Oprah was #tatted,” the Twitter caption read, “And we love it…”
It was a fail of epic proportions because the Internet never forgets and always screengrabs.
The timing of the “all black people look alike” tweetĀ could not have been worse.

Whoopi laughed off the controversy Monday during an appearance onĀ The View.
“I feel pretty good if you’re comparing me to Oprah, saying I look like Oprah,” Goldberg joked. “That’s not a bad thing.”

Because one apology wasn’t enough, Total Beauty took it a step further – the company is offering $10,000 to go towards the charity of Oprah and Whoopi’s choice.
