15 richest NBA players of all time

Must be the money.

Sure, everyone wants to be like Mike. But if you break down the richest NBA players of all time by the contracts they’ve signed during their playing careers, Michael Jordan doesn’t crack the top 15.

You might want to be more like KG.

Kevin Garnett tips the scales in our countdown of the 15 Richest NBA players of All-Time.

The future Hall of Fame forward earned more than $315 million during his 20-year career in the NBA.

Garnett entered the league straight from high school in 1995. He signed a 6-year, $126 million extension with the Minnesota Timberwolves when he was just 21 years old. At the time, players were granted free agency after just three seasons.

That rule has since changed.

But it didn’t stop Garnett from signing another $100 million contract in 2003.

Lakers teammates and rivals Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal come in at No. 3 and No. 2 in our countdown, respectively.
