Last year 50 Cent filed for bankruptcy, but a judge has ordered him to explain how he is posing in pictures on Instagram with stacks and stacks of money, when he claims to be broke.
In response, 50 Cent said that the cash used in the images is not real.
Judge Orders 50 Cent to Explain Instagram Posts
According to the AP, “Judge Ann Nevins ordered 50 Cent to court to explain several Instagram photos, including one of him next to piles of cash arranged to spell ‘broke.’ The U.S. trustee’s office is asking Nevins to appoint an examiner to review the rapper’s assets. 50 Cent says the stacks of cash aren’t real and he isn’t hiding any assets.”
Last month Nevind ordered 50 Cent, born Curtis James Jackson III, to explain pictures he has posted to Instagram of himself playing with large amounts of money, including one image in which he has spelled out the word “broke” with stacks of cash.
The pictures, Judge Nevins pointed out, have cast serious doubts as to the veracity of Jackson’s bankruptcy claims.

According to the Wall Street Journal, “The photos were flagged by Lastonia Leviston, who won $7 million in a sex-tape dispute but hasn’t been able to collect that money since Mr. Jackson filed for bankruptcy last summer.”
