David Wilson had already been found guilty of sexually assaulting a child in 2005 and served four years in prison. On Thursday, he was sentenced to life on sexual assault charges when he was found guilty of assaulting two more children.

The assault on the toddler occurred in 2015 when the 23-month-old’s parents sent her to live with her relatives because the parents reportedly had a drug problem. Wilson, who was an uncle to the toddler, was among those caring for her. Then, in November, the girl was taken to the doctor, where she was diagnosed with HIV, genital herpes and chlamydia. She had to have genital reconstructive surgery because of the infection.

Doctors then called investigators, and the four people in the home where the toddler was staying were tested for infection. Wilson was the only one who tested positive.

Additionally, a 14-year-old girl told a case worker that she and Wilson had been having sex for two years and that as a result, she had become pregnant. The teenager was tested for sexually transmitted diseases and found to be HIV positive and to have herpes and chlamydia.
