It was Monday night on the final minute of the New York Knicks‘ 99-91 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans when Carmelo Anthony was “shocked” to feel someone grasping his leg.
It was a little boy who had managed to slip through security to run onto the court. Anthony said that he was “shocked” but that his first instinct was to reach down and pat the boy on his head.
“It was a little kid,” Anthony said. “I was shocked. I didn’t really know who was it until I actually looked over and saw that it was a kid.”
