Prince demanded Kardashians be cut from his ‘New Girl’ episode, Zooey Deschanel says
The funny Prince stories just keep rolling in.  In a new interview with Conan O’Brien, Zooey Deschanel dishes about how Prince shut down the Kardashians on her show, “New Girl.”
“He spent a lifetime cultivating mystique,” Deschanel said. “And then one September day three years ago, maybe I got an email from his manager saying he liked watching the show and wanted to come on.”
Prince had reviewed the list of celebrities that would have cameos during the party scene of the show, and both Khloe Kardashian and Kris Jenner were rejected from the list.

“Someone was friends with some of the Kardashians and had made a phone call and they had kindly come on to shoot a kind of cameo part,” Deschanel recalled. “It turns out that someone from Prince’s camp said ‘Who are the celebrities? I hope it’s not a Kardashian.'”
In fact, Prince had the production team make a bonfire and burn the Kardashians’ call sheets as well as their parts in the script in order to show how serious he was about keeping them out of the episode.
“I felt so bad,” she said. “Because obviously everyone had gone out of their way to be there on that day, but Prince was running the show.”

This isn’t the first time the beloved star gave the Kardashian clan some shade.  In 2011 during a concert at Madison Square Garden, Prince told Kim K cooly to “get off the stage” when she wouldn’t dance or sing along.
