Lupita Nyong’o in talks to star in Black Panther

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lupita Nyong’o is reportedly in talks to star in Marvel’s upcoming movie, Black Panther, as the love interest for the title character.

The movie follows the story of T’Challa, played by Chadwick Boseman, who is the prince of a fictional African country called Wakanda who must take on the mantle of king after his father is killed.

The character was revealed in this summer’s Marvel movie, Captain America: Civil War, to an enthusiastic fan reception.

It is not yet clear what Nyong’o’s character will be.

Black Panther is scheduled to hit theaters on Feb. 16, 2018.
