Devon Still finally gets to dance with his adorable daughter at his wedding

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

NFL star Devon Still and his fiancée Asha Joyce put their wedding on hold for two years after their daughter, Leah, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in 2014. They didn’t want to get married unless Leah could be their flower girl.

After two years of battling cancer, and after two years of hearing that Leah had only a 50-50 shot at surviving, Leah was discharged in January from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and the wedding was back on.

On Friday, Still and Joyce gathered for a celebration with almost 200 guests at New York’s iconic Central Library.

“After we got engaged we put off on the wedding because my daughter was supposed to be the flower girl,” Still said. “When the doctors gave her a 50/50 chance of surviving, we were not sure that we were ever going to get to that point where I was able to watch her walk down the aisle. Now that we are going into the wedding, I think it’s finally hitting us that we are over that hump. She really beat cancer.”
