HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) — Officials say a black woman arrested following a car crash in Texas died two weeks later after going into convulsions in jail.

Autopsy results are pending for 22-year-old Symone Marshall. She died May 10 after being taken to a hospital from the Walker County jail in Huntsville.

Walker County Sheriff Clint McRae tells The Associated Press that Marshall was arrested following a single-car accident for alleged possession of a controlled substance and failure to identify by giving false information.She’d been jailed since April 26 on $5,000 bond.

Her sister, Honey Marshall, tells Houston television station KHOU that her sister complained from jail that her head hurt.McRae says Symone Marshall declined medical treatment after the accident. He says she was later seen by jail medical staff for appetite loss.
