During the graduation ceremony at Okmulgee High School in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, McDade was pushed onto the stage in his wheelchair, but when the time came for him to receive his diploma, he wanted to showcase the hard work that he had been doing in secret in order to be able to walk.
When he did, his parents, Mark and Anisa McDade, were crying with joy as they watched their son.
