On Tuesday, during a CNN discussion panel about Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, one Trump supporter left CNN’s Van Jones completely speechless.
The panel discussion focused on the widely-criticized remarks that Trump has made about Judge Gonzalo Curiel. The Republican candidate has made disparaging remarks about Curiel’s ability to mitigate a case, referring to his race as a factor.
During the discussion, former Reagan aide Jeffrey Lord was asked flat out: “Will you denounce what Trump said as racist?”
But Lord replied with, “It wasn’t racist. He’s calling attention to racism.”
Van Jones’ reaction was our reaction. We can’t believe it, either.
