Man shoots and kills unarmed 16-year-old fleeing vehicle burlgary
A 16-year-old boy in Huntsville, Alabama, was shot dead while running away after a vehicle burglary attempt.
On Tuesday, Mustafa Bearfield Jr, 16, was allegedly caught robbing a delivery truck driven by 50-year-old Jonathan Wayne Scott.

“The shooting happened after the victim was seen allegedly taking items from inside Scott’s vehicle, and as he was running from the scene he was shot,” said Huntsville Police Department spokesperson Lt. Stacey Bates.
The teen was unarmed and died at the scene. Scott was taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with manslaughter.
Bearfield’s mother, Shameka Williams, recalls the last thing she told her teenage son was to “be good” and that she loved him.

“Please pray for me, please pray,” Williams wrote in a Facebook post. “Grab your kids… hold them, kiss them, do everything in your power for them. I miss my son.”
Huntsville police say the case will be presented to a grand jury.
