Leslie Jones invited to Olympics by NBC after hilarious live-tweeting
Leslie Jones is the Olympics’ biggest fan and she’s not shy about it.
Jones spent her entire weekend live-tweeting the Olympic games, all decked out in red, white and blue. Some of the highlights of her joyful Olympics recap included humming along anthems, yelling loudly for Michael Phelps’ win, and cheering on the women’s gymnastics team.

Here we see just how much she loves Gabby Douglas…
And here, she gives us the perfect song-narration for what happens when Michael Phelps gets “innnn the waterrrrr.”
“Yep I love the Olympics it’s the only time all countries come together to compete! I love it!!” she tweeted excitedly as the games got rolling.
The hilarious live-tweeting entertained the internet for hours and even caught the eye of NBC executive producer of the Olympics Jim Bell, who wrote, “You’re officially invited to Rio. Want to come?”
“Hmmmm don’t play cause y’all need me..I would have the whole Olympics pumped!!” Jones replied, later adding, “I’m not going to miss nothing!”
Shout out to Leslie for speaking her mind even after Twitter trolls initially ran her offline.
She’s the real champion for just being herself– and it looks like it paid off.
