A Fresno, California  8-year-old resident started his own home-based bakery, in order to buy a house for himself and his mom.

Jalen Bailey runs the entire business out of the tiny rental home that he lives in with his single mother, Sharhonda Mahan.

He makes everything from scratch, and you can buy peanut butter cookies, banana nut muffins, vanilla cake in a jar and more for between $5 and $15 at Jalen’s Bakery.
