A man was attacked with a crowbar because he was wearing a Donald Trump t-shirt, according to police. However, a waitress at the New Jersey restaurant where the attack took place claimed that the man in the t-shirt first called the attacker a slur.

According to police, the 62-year-old man in the t-shirt was walking through Bloomfield when another man pulled up in a vehicle and began to question him about his choice in t-shirts, cursing at him as he followed the man into a parking lot, where he attacked the man with a crowbar.

But according to a waitress at the restaurant, the confrontation began when the man in the Donald Trump t-shirt shouted a slur at the other man and told him that he should not be at the eatery. The man who had been shouted at then left the restaurant and waited for the other man to come out of the eatery before attacking him.

The man in the t-shirt suffered injuries to his arms, hands and thighs. His attacker fled the scene before the authorities arrived.
