White officers fired after tackling pregnant student, claim racial discrimination
Two former school security guards claim that they were fired from their jobs because they are white, not because they tackled a pregnant 17-year-old girl.
Henry Todd and Richard Pinner can be seen on school surveillance forcefully tackling the pregnant student.
Pinner and Todd claim that the black student was resisting arrest at the time. They say she was eating when she began to yell and use profanity. According to them, they used appropriate force to take her down but were fired because they are white and the girl is black.

The student was issued a juvenile summons for her part in the incident.
While the altercation happened back in 2013, it is only now going to trial.
On Monday, in court, one teacher testified that he heard the school principal state, “If those white officers hurt my black babies, I’m going to have them fired.”
The principal also testified saying that those words were never spoken.
