Denzel Washington’s adaptation of August Wilson’s “Fences” is set to premiere on Dec. 16 in New York and Los Angeles, with the nationwide premiere set for Christmas Day.

The adaptation sees Washington and Viola Davis reprising the roles that won them the Tony Award for Best Actor and Best Actress in a Play, and they certainly seem to be eyeing an Oscar win for the roles to top it off.
