Denver Broncos star Aqib Talib allegedly too drunk to realize he shot himself

After a four month investigation, authorities have found that Denver Broncos star Aqib Talib shot himself in the leg but was too drunk to realize what had happened.

According to a report on Wednesday by WFAA-TV, Talib will not face any charges over the shooting, which he initially reported had taken place while he was standing in a park. He had claimed that someone else shot him at the time. He was taken to Medical City Dallas Hospital and did not require surgery, and he was released home the next day.

When Talib was interviewed by police, he said that he had been standing with a group of people when he heard a gunshot and then fell to the ground with a bullet in his leg. He reportedly told investigators that he was “too intoxicated” to remember much else of what had happened.

Initially, the police report stated that he had been shot by an “unknown suspect.”

The report has not been confirmed by the Denver Police Department or by Talib or the Denver Broncos organization.
