Actor Malcolm Barrett talks being a super-smart scientist in new Sci-Fi drama ‘Timeless’
Actor Malcolm Barrett is starring in a new role on primetime television.
Barrett is portraying a scientist named ‘Rufus Carlin’ on the NBC series “Timeless.” The science fiction drama takes you on a journey back in time, where a professor, engineer and scientist (Barrett) attempts to stop a criminal mastermind wanting to rewrite history.
The crew uses a time machine to travel back in time and find themselves in the center of century-old mysteries, all while Barrett, the black scientist, is reluctant to go for obvious reasons.
Barrett talks to theGrio.com about his role and the relevance of the series to the modern day.
