Chicago police have released video of a gang member, who was allegedly high on PCP at the time, brutally beating a female officer who refused to shoot him because she was afraid of public backlash.

Parta Huff was charged with attempted murder of a police officer and aggravated battery to a police officer. He allegedly got hold of the female officer’s hair and slammed her head on the pavement over and over, which resulted in a concussion as well as shoulder, wrist and neck injuries for the officer.

“Let her go! Just let her f–king go!” an officer can be heard screaming as several officers attempted to Tase Huff to get him to let go. “He’s got her f–king hair!”

The female officer was rushed to the hospital when her fellow officers finally pulled him off of her, and she admitted that she knew she should have used force but was afraid of the backlash that would hit her family in the news.

“She looked at me and said she thought she was gonna die,” Superintendent Eddie Johnson said a day after the attack. “She knew that she should shoot this guy, but she chose not to because she didn’t want her family or the department to go through the scrutiny the next day on national news.”
