Rudy Giuliani: Dead people generally vote for Democrats, rather than Republicans
On Sunday, Rudy Giuliani continued to push the disproven idea that voter fraud is widespread in America.
The “system is rigged” line might as well be Donald Trump’s new campaign slogan. And Giuliani didn’t disappoint in his appearance on CNN with Jake Tapper:
I’m sorry. Dead people generally vote for Democrats, rather than Republicans. … You want me to tell you that I think the election in Philadelphia and Chicago is going to be fair? I would have to be a moron to say that. I would have to dislearn everything I learned in 40 years of being a politician.
A day earlier, Trump was pushing a similar narrative.
“The election is being rigged by corrupt media pushing completely false allegations and outright lies in an effort to elect her president,” the candidate said at a rally in New Hampshire.
Trump’s running mate Mike Pence tried to quell the flames on NBC’s Meet The Press by saying the Republican ticket would “absolutely accept the result of the election,” even if it’s a loss.
But then Trump immediately stoked more fears and conspiracies on Twitter:
The election is absolutely being rigged by the dishonest and distorted media pushing Crooked Hillary – but also at many polling places – SAD
