Kim Kardashian threatens to sue black writer for saying robbery was ‘publicity stunt’

Kim Kardashian is threatening to sue Sharika Soal, a contributor to The Huffington Post, after Soal claimed that the robbery in Paris was nothing but a publicity stunt.
Kardashian is demanding that Soal apologize and issue a retraction or face legal action for the piece in which she quoted Kardashian as saying that the robbery was simply a “publicity stunt gone horribly wrong.”
In going after Soal, Kardashian’s lawyers pointed out that the quote in question was from a satirical website, a jab at Soal’s skills as a reporter.
However, Soal says that she can’t comply with Kardashian’s requests, not because she does not want to but because she has been locked out of her account with The Huffington Post, so it is impossible for her to publish the retraction and apology they’re asking for. Soal reportedly explained the problem to Kardashian’s lawyers, though they are still threatening to sue, according to TMZ.
As for The Huffington Post, representatives for the site said that Soal had self-published the story, and when their editors saw it, they pulled it because it violated their terms. The representatives also made it clear that Kardashian’s problem was not with them but with Soal herself.
