Drake’s new track “Two Birds, One Stone” mentions Kid Cudi, and Twitter isn’t too pleased with Drake for the diss.
In the song, Drake references one of Kid Cudi’s songs: “You were the Man on the Moon, now you go through your phases / Life of the angry and famous.”
Twitter wasn’t too pleased with the decision to go after Kid Cudi, especially when he very recently and publicly checked himself into rehab for “depression and suicidal urges.” The internet dragged Drake for belittling depression and mental illness as a “phase” and called him out for perpetuating misconceptions and stereotypes.

It’s bad enough Drake has been releasing trash music for a while. But trying to joke on Kid Cudi’s mental illness makes him even more trash.

Lost respect for Drake taking shots at Kid Cudi’s depression… hope he realizes it’s not a phase but a mental illness
