Justin Timberlake may have broken law after posting voting selfie

A selfie Justin Timberlake took may have been against the law, since a Tennessee law does not allow pictures and video at voting booths.

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Justin Timberlake may live in California, but he flew home to Tennessee to rock the early vote in Memphis.

“Hey! You! Yeah, YOU! I just flew from LA to Memphis to #rockthevote !!! No excuses, my good people!” he wrote in an Instagram post that included a picture of himself at the booth. “There could be early voting in your town too. If not, November 8th! Choose to have a voice!”

But it turns out the selfie he took may have been against the law, since Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam signed a bill that allows phones at the booths for “informational purposes to assist the voter in making election decisions,” but pictures and video are not allowed.

In any case, though, we’re with Timberlake: Get out and rock the vote!
