Their friends have reportedly never seen the two of them happier than since they got together over a year ago. The two met while filming Barbershop: The Next Cut in Atlanta in May of 2015, and Common asked Hall on a date.
“Regina wasn’t interested in dating a fellow actor. She’s always shied away from idea of being with one of her co-stars. But Common was persistent and finally won her over,” the source explained.
Hall insisted that they wait until they were finished filming before they started to date so that their relationship would not color their work, but when they wrapped up filming, they started to pursue a relationship that has reportedly been going on ever since.
“This is the happiest anyone has ever seen him. He’s a hopeless romantic and after several failed relationships, he lost faith in love,” the source said before adding, “But Regina inspires him and has renewed his hope in love. It’s so beautiful to see.”
Common has even been so inspired, the source claims, that he has started to create new music again.
