Sevyn Streeter was reportedly banned from performing the national anthem at the 76ers game in Philadelphia on Wednesday night because she wore a “We Matter” t-shirt.
The singer took to social media to share the news with fans.
“I was suppose to sing the national anthem at the @sixers and @okcthunder game in #Philly but minutes before @sixers organization said I could not because I was wearing a ‘We Matters’ jersey. WTF!” Streeter wrote, along with a video posted on Instagram.
Her makeup artist also slammed the organization over the incident, which she said “broke our hearts.”
