Hillary Clinton is reportedly considering Vice President Joe Biden for Secretary of State if she wins the presidency.
A source close to the transition planning for the Clinton team told Politico‘s Edward Isaac-Dovere they are looking at the best ways to approach Biden with the offer.
“He’d be great, and they are spending a lot of time figuring out the best way to try to persuade him to do it if she wins,” the source explained.

Another source confirmed to NBC News the report of a potential Biden pick.
If the Clinton camp does approach Biden with this offer, it would be the first cabinet pick to go public for her potential cabinet. Biden was mulling a presidential run of his own. He opted not to run, but has publicly expressed he regrets that decision.
