Azealia Banks tearfully recalls night Russell Crowe choked her

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

On Thursday, Azealia Banks broke down as she told “Access Hollywood” about the night Russell Crowe threw her out of a party in his hotel suite.

Banks claimed that he spit on her and that he called her a racial slur after choking her.

“Every time, every time something like this happens I’m always like being blamed for, like, wanting this kind of attention,” an emotional Banks said. “Like who the f*** wants to tell somebody they got spat on? You know, that’s humiliating. And I’m just like really, really humiliated.”

She went on to describe the moment Crowe threw her out, saying “He chokes me, picks me up, throws me out of the room and spits on me.”

She said that she looked to RZA, who she had come with to the party, for support, but he just looked annoyed at her because she had “f***** up his seat at the table with the white guys.”

As for what it was that made Crowe made at her in the first place, Banks said, “Maybe it was the moonshine, maybe it was the rejection, maybe it’s the jokes.”

The interview comes after several guests at Crowe’s party have contradicted her account of what happened, describing her behavior as “erratic” during the party before she was thrown out.
