Woman fatally shoved in front of Times Square train by stranger

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

On Monday afternoon, a woman was shoved to her death in front of a train in Times Square.

The victim was waiting for the 1 train when a woman in a pink shirt and scarf pushed her in front of the train. She was struck and killed.

“When I first arrived the train was out of service. And the NYPD and FDNY were evacuating people from the 2 train,” one witness said.

The woman who is believed to have shoved the victim was seen being taken into custody.

“About 5 minutes ago 20 police officers escorted her out. She was… in mid twenties, her head was up — kinda proud of what she did,” the witness said.

According to other witnesses, two other women might have been involved.
