Trump’s team releases a “new deal” for Black America
Donald Trump is trying to take a break from his divisive rhetoric about black communities with a “new deal” and a “plan for urban renewal” for African-Americans.
Trump surrogates sent a 10-point plan to MediaTakeOut.com outlining the policies that he had proposed at a North Carolina rally back in October.
“In election after election, Democratic party leaders take African-American voters for granted and year after year the condition of Black America gets worse,” the plan reads. “The conditions in our inner cities today are unacceptable. Too many African-Americans have been left behind.”

The plan proposes school choice, crime reduction, stopping trade deficits, business tax cuts, financial reforms, new infrastructure investment, ending illegal immigration, protections for the “African-American church,” as well as an “America First” foreign policy.
Trump plans to have policies specific to inner cities. In those areas, he is looking to up the law enforcement presence.
“We will also have tax holidays for inner-city investment and new tax incentives to get foreign companies to relocate in blighted American neighborhoods,” it reads. “We will empower cities and states to seek a federal disaster designation for blighted communities in order to initiate the rebuilding of vital infrastructure, the demolition of abandoned properties, and the increased presence of law enforcement.”
President-elect Trump did not do well among black voters. He garnered just 8 percent of the vote while Hillary Clinton got 88 percent of the black vote.
