Tearful Omarosa says friends turned backs on her for supporting Trump
Omarosa Manigault says that her black friends abandoned her because of her support for Trump.
Omarosa Manigault, who was called to be the director of Donald Trump’s African-American outreach, says that her black friends abandoned her because of her support for Trump.
“I was called every single racial slur in the book that you could direct towards an African-American by African-Americans,” the tearful Omarosa told ABC News’ “20/20.”
She went on to say that her friends and family members had cut her out of their lives, including one friend who was supposed to be a bridesmaid in her upcoming spring wedding.

“I will never forget the people who turned their backs on me when all I was trying to do was help the black community,” she said. “It’s been so incredibly hard.”
Omarosa also went on to clarify her comments in September suggesting that Trump had an enemies list in which she said, “Every critic, every detractor, will have to bow down to President Trump. It’s everyone who’s ever doubted Donald, who’s ever disagreed, whoever challenged him. It is the ultimate revenge to become the most powerful man in the universe.”
“That wasn’t an official statement from the Trump campaign,” she clarified to “20/20.” “That was just all me.”
