NBA to produce 10-hour Michael Jordan documentary

Michel Jordan is too big for just two hours on film.

Instead, the NBA and CAA (Creative Artists Agency) are looking to produce a 10-hour documentary, which will likely focus on his comeback to basketball after briefly playing baseball, in which he won three of his six championship rings.

Reportedly, the O.J. Simpson documentary, which aired earlier this year and was 8 hours long, was what convinced Jordan that it was time to tell his story. While production has not yet started, it’s expected that the project will cover everything from his father’s murder to his triumphant return, though it’s likely his gambling love will not be addressed.

The project has been pitched to ESPN, Showtime, HBO and Fox Sports, with Jordan and his reps reportedly looking for a deal around $20 million.
