Trump does not want to live in White House full time
Apparently, president-elect Donald Trump would rather live in his tower than at the White House.
There’s no question that president-elect Donald Trump loves his tower. While he was on the campaign trail, he would often fly over several hours just so he could get back to New York and wake up in his apartment in the luxurious Trump Tower.
However, he has now been elected to be the president of the United States, so he has to decide just how much time he is going to spend in New York. Apparently, the president-elect would rather live in his tower than at the White House.
The future first lady, Melania Trump, is expected to move to Washington, D.C., but their son, Barron, who is just 10 years old, is still partway through school, so it is not clear when they would move.

What’s more, Trump aides say that he is holding onto other familiar things, such as the large rallies that he held during the campaign, events that fueled his instant-gratification. “I think Trump has discovered that these rallies are tremendous opportunities for him to get his message out,” said Christopher Ruddy, chief executive of the conservative Newsmax Media. “It’s actually sort of old-fashioned, that you want to actually meet people and press the flesh with him.”
There is also some talk as to how much control Trump will have over his Twitter account, with questions being raised as to whether he will be the first president to have full control of his own Twitter. “I know they’re willing to be unorthodox and want to be true to themselves and not fall into a habit of let’s just follow precedent on what’s been done,” said Mike DuHaime, an adviser to Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey.
The aides and advisors who stuck with Trump through the campaign will also be making the move to the White House as Trump continues to surround himself with the familiar as much as he can.
