Atlanta man shot and killed after joking about voting for Trump

An Atlanta man was gunned down outside a bar after he joked that he had voted for Donald Trump.

The man, Mitchell Mormon Jr., was on a first date on Saturday at the Church Bar in Atlanta when he got into an altercation with another man. According to the woman he was on a date with, Shaunita Walker, the other man said something disrespectful to her, which prompted Mormon to joke about Trump in the argument.

However, Walker doesn’t think that Mormon’s comment was what prompted the shooting, claiming that the shooter was looking for trouble from the outset of their interaction.

Both Walker and Mormon were shot and taken to Grady Hospital, where Mormon died of his injuries.

Police are still seeking information about the shooting suspect.

“Please, if anybody know anything, please, this was so senseless,” said Walker. “This was so horrible.”
