The holiday season is nearly upon us, and #GrabYourWallet has compiled a list of places not to give your money this year.
The holiday season is nearly upon us, and #GrabYourWallet has compiled a list of places not to give your money this year.
In addition to compiling a list, #GrabYourWallet has given suggestion to what to say to companies that you are taking your buying power away from:
Hi. I’m a customer / fan of your brand. Unfortunately I’ll no longer be able to shop there because you do business with the Trump family. If you were to no longer do so I would consider returning as a customer. Please communicate my feedback to store management. // (Optional: I have shopped at your store/brand for X years. I will be shopping at (name your local store or closest shopping competitor) until these products are no longer available for sale.
What’s more, #GrabYourWallet has a list of competitors where you can shop instead. And they are also keeping track of which stores have been dropped from their list, as well as the reason they have been dropped. For example, Jenny Craig’s line was dropped from the list when the company’s PR team reached out to say that Craig, who has supported Trump publicly, was not a board member.
Companies on the list include Macy’s, which sells Trump family merchandise, Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Trump Hotels, Trump Winery, Zappos and even People magazine, which is accused of “normalizing Trump.”
