Mike Epps responds to fan who accused him of being homophobic

Mike Epps denied claims of homophobia after a fan accused him of being homophobic for refusing to take a picture with him because of his sexuality.

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Mike Epps is vehemently denying claims of homophobia after a fan, Norman Freeman on Instagram, accused him of being homophobic for refusing to take a picture with him because of his sexuality.

According to Freeman, the incident took place at the IMPROV comedy club:

So rude! Ok so Mike epps spent 10 minutes joking with me while I was in the crowd about me being a man, I thought it was so funny, and being that I do comedy as well I took no offense to it, Until the end of the show I went to take a picture with him and he denied me because of my sexuality! Really??? So I then approached him and called him out on it! And it got CRAZY!! The violent part is cut out! ….he’s a homophobe SMH you should have seen how he looked at me ! I was a big FAN but trust me I’ll be bigger than you before you know it!! I had to sneak in another girls picture!! @tmz_tv@theshaderoom#improv#mikeepps

Epps has since responded, writing, “I have one thing to say I have been in the biz for 20 plus years and I have never been a homophobic guy I provide comedy for white black hispanic gay lesbian everybody sorry.”

Freeman, who is self-described comedian, maintains that Epps denied the photo solely based on his sexual orientation, clapping back at fans who accused him of being “ratchet” and trying to get publicity.

Thirsty for exposure?? certainly not me!
