The 33rd annual United Negro College Fund was held Saturday at the Atlanta Mayor’s Masked Ball.

Tyrese, Usher, Jeezy and Atlanta native Future each reportedly donated $25,000 to the fundraising event. The Atlanta Mayor’s Masked Ball is seen as the UNCF’s signature fundraising event.

“This must-attend event is full of fun, fashion, glitz and glamour that supports UNCF’s mission of investing in better futures for the young men and women we serve and by helping them move to and through college,” the UNCF said in describing the event.

With decreasing enrollment rates and a decrease in federal funding at historically black colleges and universities, these types of fundraising initiatives are more important than ever.

Future’s donation was made in conjunction with his Freewishes Foundation, and Usher has partnered with UNCF through his New Look Atlanta Leadership Academy. The organization provides a $100,000 UNCF scholarship.
