R. Kelly reveals new chapters of ‘Trapped In The Closet’ coming in 2017

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

If you are a fan of R. Kelly’s “Trapped in the Closet,” then you will be glad to learn that you will be brought up to speed on what Sylvester, James, Roxanne and Reverend Moseley have been up to come the new year.

During an interview with the Atlanta-Journal Constitution on Friday, Kelly said he has 35 chapters of the story that he is looking forward to sharing with his fans.

“I have my R&B hip-hop album – I haven’t named it yet, and Trapped in the Closet, I have 35 more chapters of that done,” Kelly shared. “I’m very excited about that. It will absolutely be out next year. I’ll tour if it’s a major deal, but if not I might just chill and just finish writing my movie scripts.”

Since plans for a Broadway play, IFC aired a marathon of the series back in 2013. The series was filled with lies and plot twists, not to mention plenty of people hiding in kitchen cabinets. Michael K. Williams even made a cameo.

The popular rap opera began in 2005 and has not seen an update since 2012.

Kelly is currently on the road touring for his holiday album, 12 Nights of Christmas. He will also be performing at the Soulquarius Festival in February.
