Dylann Roof wore shoes with racist symbols in jail

According to FBI Special Agent Joseph Hamski, Dylann Roof had cross-like symbols in the side of his shoes that he wore in jail.

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

As testimony continues in the death penalty trial of Dylann Roof, the shooter who killed nine churchgoers at a Charleston church in a self-professed attempt to start a “race war,” prosecutors have shown new evidence that they say shows that Roof is unrepentant of his actions.

According to FBI Special Agent Joseph Hamski, Roof had cross-like symbols in the side of his shoes that he wore in jail. The symbols, which Hamski described as Celtic crosses, were similar to images that Roof had posed with in selfies before the shooting.

Hamski also presented as evidence pictures from Roof’s phone, including one that showed bullets arranged in a swastika shape. Roof did not cross-examine him.
