Leave it to Twitter to pull up the receipts to keep America’s president-elect humble.
After Tracee Ellis Ross’ historic win for Best Actress in a TV Comedy at the 74th Annual Golden Globes, an old tweet from Donald J. Trump criticizing her show “Black-ish” has resurfaced online.
“How is ABC Television allowed to have a show entitled ‘Blackish’? Can you imagine the furor of a show, ‘Whiteish’! Racism at highest level?” Trump tweeted on Oct. 1, 2014, just a week after its series premiere.
Trump, of course, will have to eat those words now that the show’s leading lady has been recognized with the golden statue by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
