Last week, Steve Harvey did a segment making fun of self-help books, and he is now coming under fire for a joke made during that segment about Asian men.
Specifically, Harvey was poking fun at a self-help book called How to Date a White Woman: A Practical Guide for Asian Men. The joke, Harvey claimed, was that white women would be attracted to Asian men at all.
“Excuse me, do you like Asian men? No. Thank you,” he said.
He then ridiculed the idea that black women would be attracted to Asian men, either.
“How to Date a Black Woman: A Practical Guide to Asian Men. Same thing. You like Asian men? I don’t even like Chinese food. It don’t stay with you no time … I don’t eat what I can’t pronounce.”
