Paris Jackson calls out Wendy Williams over comments about her race

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

In a recent cover interview with Rolling Stone, Paris Jackson opened up about her famous father, her childhood and race.

But Wendy Williams, during the “Hot Topics” segment of her show, took issue with the decision to put Paris on the cover, claiming that the 18 year old hadn’t accomplished enough.

“She has not made her mark on her own,” Williams said. “You cannot be on the cover of one of the most prestigious entertainment and influential magazines in the world and just be the daughter of and tell your story inside.”

Williams also blasted Paris for saying that she considered herself to be black when she had a white mother and has a light complexion.

“I get that she considers herself black and everything, but I’m just talking about the visual because you know … black is not what you call yourself, it’s what the cops see you when they got steel to your neck on the turnpike. It’s what they see,” Williams said. “But that’s cute and good for her.”

Paris shot back on Twitter in a now-deleted comment that said Williams “didn’t birth me so.”

“She seems to think about the family a lot considering she makes all these claims about us. why are we on her mind so often?” Paris asked on Twitter.
