Milo Yiannopoulos, a Breitbart editor who recently found himself in national headlines after a speaking engagement at Berkeley sparked massive protests, has started a scholarship that is exclusively for white men.
The Privilege Grant “is available exclusively to white men” who want to pursue college “on equal footing with their female, queer and ethnic minority classmates,” according to the website for the scholarship.
When the idea for the scholarship first started floating around in January 2016, it was described as being for “straight white American men,” though the website currently does not say anything about sexuality. This might be because Yiannopoulos himself is gay, even though he has opposed LGBT rights and claims that he chose to be gay so that he could benefit from that identity.
White men can start to apply for the grants, each of which is worth $2,500, as of January 31.
