It’s only been one season, but MTV has already cancelled “Loosely Exactly Nicole.”
The series, which stars Nicole Byer, debuted this fall and shows the struggle of a young woman out on her own for the first time. From auditions to bills and everything in between, Byer’s self-named character has to make it through all the struggles of adulthood while living so close to Hollywood that she can see the dream she’s reaching for, even if it’s not yet in her grasp.
Many hailed the series as a diversity win for women of color, women in comedy and for plus-size women.
The series ran for 10 episodes but will not be renewed for a second season.
