Snippet released of Azealia Banks short film ‘Coco’ starring Jill Scott

Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Azealia Banks’ short film, Coco, has just released a short snippet online even while many are worried that her feud with the people involved would lead Lionsgate to bury the film.

The film, which stars Common, Lorraine Toussaint, Lucien Laviscount and Jill Scott, follows the story of Coco, a young woman (played by Banks) trying to find a better life for herself through poetry.

Many were worried that after the Harlem rapper accused Russell Crowe of attacking her that the film would get trashed, but it looks like it is moving forward all the same.
