One in particular, who identified himself as “Gary from Chicago,” quickly went viral as he could be seen kissing the hands of all the women in the front row, taking selfies, and just generally making the most of his fifteen minutes of fame.
Already, this viral sensation has caught the attention of some Chicago sports teams, with the Bulls tweeting out, “Gary from Chicago! We’ve got you covered if you want to come to a game! #Oscars”
The Bears also tweeted a picture of an iPhone case with the message: “Got something for you Gary from Chicago. #Oscars.”
