Brooklyn Congressman Hakeem Jeffries decided to mark the 20th anniversary of Biggie Smalls’ death by reciting some of the rap legend’s lyrics on the House floor.
“It was all a dream, I used to read Word Up! magazine. Salt-n-Pepa and Heavy D up in the limousine,” Jeffries read during a floor speech, referencing the lyrics to “Juicy.” “Hangin’ pictures on my wall/Every Saturday Rap Attack, Mr. Magic, Marley Marl.”
Jeffries then gave a brief summary of Biggie’s life before ending with, “Where Brooklyn at?”
