In a cover story for Billboard, Future opened up about his much publicized relationship with his ex-fiancée Ciara.
Given the tumultuous breakup of Future and Ciara in 2014, which saw HNDRXX and its romantic leanings come out, as well as the multiple lawsuits and the custody battle over his son with Ciara, Future Jr., Future assured Billboard that he really is fine where he’s at now.
“I feel like everything happened for a reason,” he said. “I’m happy with life now. I’m happy with life, period, even with the end of a relationship being…”
“I’m just not going to settle for anything, you know? Even in my life now, I know I can be a better person. I ain’t giving up on myself, so if you give up on me, I ain’t got nothing else to say for you. Because if you give up on something that’s real, it wasn’t real to you,” he continued after a brief pause.
He wasn’t too pleased with all the changes he had to make for Ciara, such as cutting back on weed and other things. “They had me going the cornball route!” he recalled.
So it seems like Future is much happier now. Good for him.
