Janet Hubert is speaking out after she was noticeably absent from the recent Fresh Prince of Bel-Air ‘reunion’ in which several members of the cast got together and posed for a picture that was posted on Instagram.
“I know the media hoe Alphonso Ribero has posted his so called reunion photo. Folks keep telling me about it. He was always the a** wipe for Will. There will never be a true reunion of the Fresh Prince. I have no interest in seeing any of these people on that kind of level,” wrote Hubert, who played ‘Aunt Viv’ for three seasons before a falling out with Will Smith led to her being ousted from the show.
“I am not offended in the least, by this photo… it was an event for Karen’s charity. It does however prompt me to take some meetings in Hollywood to pitch my memoir Perfection is not a Sitcom Mom, and tell of the behind the scenes story before I leave this earth,” she said of the reunion.”
James Avery was also absent from the reunion, and Ribero, who posted the picture, paid tribute to the late actor, who died in 2013, with the caption: “A wonderful afternoon today with family. We miss you James.”
